Sustainable buildings are in high demand by investors due to the growing risks of climate change. Upgrading to more efficient systems, installing renewable energy, and retrofitting do not need to be cost prohibitive. Commercial real estate developers and owners may take advantage of the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing to transition to a more valuable and sustainable asset. Join the Green Building Initiative (GBI) and Forbright Bank for a 60-minute webinar to learn how sustainability upgrades and green building certification can be accessible through a long term, low-cost financing alternative. Attendees will recognize the value in certifying with Green Globes during or following their sustainability and decarbonization upgrades using C-PACE financing, available for building owners in most states. Resources will be shared to support the financing and certification process and will conclude with a live Q+A session.

VP, Green Building Initiative Megan develops and executes GBI’s community building initiatives, including overseeing its marketing and communication strategies, leading education and training development, and representing GBI through partnerships and various national and municipal engagement activities throughout the commercial real estate industry. Megan and her engagement teammates work to open markets to ensure innovative tools and strategies are in the hands of facility design and operations teams as they implement integrated and standardized sustainability strategies. She resides in Rhode Island and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Mary Washington and a Master’s of Business Administration from Regis University.
