Commercial property or portfolio owners can significantly reduce their energy usage and reduce their impact by generating their own power through solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. While the end goal may be clear, the steps of a installing a renewable energy project for specific building types aren’t always obvious. GBI is hosting a 90-minute webinar to provide guidance for decision making, preparing for, and implementing a solar PV project. A case study from Colorado State University will be used to demonstrate a successful implementation of PV systems and will include resources for financing and installation with Solaris Energy and Namaste Solar. Attendees will understand how to implement a PV system on a higher education campus, which is replicable in other industries. This session will also demonstrate how projects can achieve Green Globes credit for on and off-site renewable energy projects, contributing to a more sustainable, resilient, and healthy facility or portfolio.
