As Chief Operating Officer, Jenna Middaugh leads GBI’s day-to-day operations and works collaboratively to translate the organization’s strategic priorities into action. She provides executive oversight across all functional areas and leads enterprise-wide initiatives to strengthen organizational effectiveness, operational excellence, and financial sustainability. Working closely with GBI’s CEO and Board of Directors, she helps ensure the organization has the people, resources, systems, and strategies needed to advance its mission and grow its impact.

In 2023, Jenna became GBI’s first-ever recipient of the Chair’s Award for Meritorious Service. The award recognized her commitment to GBI’s mission and her successful leadership of a five-year effort to rebuild the organization’s operations and assessment delivery platforms in support of GBI’s clients, members, and broader community.

Prior to joining GBI as a project manager in 2011, Jenna gained experience in operations and IT management while working in international education. She holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arizona State University, with concentrations in Anthropology and Geography, and has earned the Institute for Organization Management (IOM) designation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. An avid traveler, she has worked and studied in France and Spain.

Jenna lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and triplet sons. She enjoys hiking in the forests of Northern Arizona and listening to science and technology podcasts.
