Thomas Warner is a Senior Architect with Haskell, a Design-Build firm, out of its St. Paul, Minnesota office. Thomas is Chair of Haskell’s Sustainability Council and in charge of the Council’s Educate Subcommittee. Since 2006, he has worked as the Sustainability Lead on over 40 Department of Defense, National Guard and Coast Guard projects with over half of those either receiving or currently pursuing a sustainability third-party certification.
In addition to his sustainability efforts in design and construction, Thomas is also an active member of the Northeast Metro Climate Action organization in the Twin Cities and supports sustainability personally through the installation of solar panels on his home, all battery-powered lawn equipment, remote working, and low-emitting vehicles.
Thomas’ passion for sustainability has been influenced from his own observations of climate change, both from the micro-climate and global perspectives. Having witnessed the power of tornadoes in his own neighborhoods and seeing, first-hand, the continuing recession of glaciers in Iceland, Thomas has a goal of strengthening his companies’ efforts in reducing carbon emissions both in the design and construction of projects, but also in the firm’s operations as well.
