Devon Hutton is an architect, sustainability consultant, and resilience strategist with more than 20 years of experience shaping high-performance built environments. Her work spans design and construction, building-enclosure consulting, commissioning, project management, and post-disaster recovery. As Principal of Ecokulture | Sustainability + Design, she brings experienced leadership, accountability and technical expertise to move teams beyond checklists into integrated strategies.
Devon has championed more than 100 projects and 14+ million square feet through green building certifications nationwide. Her work with owners, A/E professionals, and contractors is built on a foundation of collaboration and holistic thinking, translating sustainability goals into practical, measurable outcomes that reduce risk, improve performance, and create healthier buildings.
Rooted in Western North Carolina, Devon serves in multiple leadership roles with AIA WNC, including Director of Sustainability, 2026 President-Elect, and Co-Chair of the COTE Resilience + Recovery Committee. Her regional work extends to stormwater and flood-resilience initiatives, community outreach and education, and building cross-sector partnerships with local governments, nonprofits, and community leaders.
