Introduction to Green Globes New Construction 2024
New construction projects provide opportunities to deliver resource efficient buildings that reduce operational and embodied carbon. GBI’s Green Globes® for New Construction (NC) 2024 is the implementation of a consensus-based ANSI Standard (ANSI/GBI 01-2024: Green Globes Assessment Protocol for Design, New Construction and Major Renovations) that drives innovation in sustainability, promotes a healthy and safe environment, and emphasizes decarbonization through intentional material selection. This third-party assessment and certification system serves as a comprehensive design guide, used to elevate the sustainability and future operational practices for new construction and major renovation projects.
Credentialing
GBI’s suite of credentials allow professionals to demonstrate a commitment to green building and distinguish themselves as expert users of GBI assessment programs.
Courses
GBI Courses provide in-depth training in Green Building Initiative standards and practices. Courses are eligible for credits by most standards bodies, and can pave the way to certification.
