Charline brings over 33 years of extensive experience in architecture and construction to her role as EastPoint’s Director of Sustainability. Her career encompasses a diverse array of facility types, including healthcare, education, municipal, military, commercial, industrial, redevelopment, and housing projects.

A distinguished leader in the field, Charline served on the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) Atlantic board for eight years, including four years as Chair of the CaGBC Atlantic Chapter. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in organizing the BuildGreen Atlantic conferences and was honored with the Chapter Leadership Award in 2015, joining a select group of national CaGBC award recipients. Over the past 15 years, she has facilitated more than 20 LEED and Green Globes projects in Atlantic Canada.

Her expertise extends to building assessments for acquisitions, divestitures, and redevelopment, with a specialization in Building Envelope Commissioning (BECx). Recent projects include the assessment and modernization of heritage buildings and delivering comprehensive Carbon Neutral Study reports for federal buildings across Atlantic Canada. Charline holds certifications as a Building Enclosure Commissioning Process Provider and Commissioning Authority + Building Enclosure, placing her among the few BECx-certified experts in Canada. Her BECx work spans both Green Globes or LEED and non-Green Globes or LEED projects.

Charline’s roots in Cap-Pele, New Brunswick—a small Acadian fishing village—have profoundly influenced her approach to sustainability. Her grandfather was a fisherman and farmer, and her father and another grandfather were master carpenters. This heritage, combined with her extensive professional experience, fuels her passion for integrating environmental stewardship and sustainable building solutions into her work.

Charline has also extended her expertise into the restaurant industry. In 2005, she opened Il Trullo Restaurant, and in 2020, she launched Sapori Italian Street Food. Both establishments featured environmentally conscious design elements, including green walls and seawater-based heating, and cooling systems, showcasing her commitment to sustainable development in her professional and personal pursuits.
